Event Details

Join the Toronto Society of Architects’ guided walking tours and learn about some of the city’s best contemporary architecture. Our highly trained volunteer guides will take you to iconic buildings designed by world-renowned architects and explain the design context, details, and unusual features that make these buildings notable. Fun and informative, Toronto Architecture Tours provide the stories behind the buildings and demonstrate why architecture is such a powerful communications tool for businesses, organizations, and the city.

Toronto’s Art & Performance Tour

Some of Toronto's most exciting contemporary buildings are related to art, theatre, and cinema. Our walking tour features dynamic and controversial structures designed by top international and Canadian architects. You'll see some of the results of Toronto's recent Cultural Renaissance, an exciting program of buildings that solidified our city's reputation as a world class arts centre.

Toronto Society of Architects

Established in 1887, the Toronto Society of Architects (TSA) is a non-profit volunteer-based organization comprised of architects, professionals from sister organizations, and members of the community that are interested in architecture and urban issues. The TSA is the local Chapter of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), which is the licensing and regulatory body that governs the practice of architecture in Ontario.

The TSA plays an advocacy role in the City, ensuring that architecture and design are key considerations in public discussions and in processes that have an impact on our urban environment.

The TSA organizes and sponsors a wide variety of initiatives including exhibitions, tours,  publications, competitions, forums, film series and celebrations that engage the architectural profession, its sister disciplines, and the public. An elected Executive, comprised of volunteers, undertakes and directs these initiatives throughout the year. We strive to promote and advance the role of architecture and design in Toronto’s dynamic community.

Membership in the TSA is open to all with an interest in Toronto architecture and urban issues.  Please consider joining!
